New York

It all started on a cold February day, when I ended up buying two Coldplay tickets for their show in New York, with no idea whether I would be able to go or not. Long story short, it all worked out and I was set to meet my dad at the pub across from our hotel Friday night. As soon as I got to the pub, we started planning out what we were going to do that weekend. We really only had 36 hours, and man did we make the best of it! We hit the sack pretty early on Friday night, and woke up at the crack of dawn to get an early start Saturday morning. First we headed to times square to beat the crowds and see it in a different perspective than many others.

Next we hit up the Rockefeller building to get an amazing view overlooking the city. We truly got a 360-degree view of the city, and it totally put a new perspective on just how large a city it. After that we headed to none other than central park. There were tons of options to rent bikes, however we made due with our feet. We also of course had to ride the infamous merry-go-round before we took off. Keeping on track with our jam packed day we than headed straight to the World Trade Centre. It was a very humbling experience and the two pools in front of the new building are truly magnificent.

Finally, we headed back to the hotel to get showered and take a quick nap before we headed to MetLife stadium to see Coldplay. Lets just say the concert was amazing!

Sunday morning, we headed down Broadway to see if we could find a nice brunch spot. Turns out the place I found on trip adviser either no longer existed, or moved locations so we ended up finding a decent breakfast from just a random spot we passed by. Next we headed to Brooklyn bridge as we were pretty close already and although at first we both felt no need to walk across a bridge, it turned out to be a pretty cool experience we both enjoyed.

After that it was finally time to head back to the hotel, grab our things, and head our separate ways. New York is an incredible city that you can’t really understand until you visit. I had such an awesome time those two days, and couldn’t recommend visiting the city enough.
